元宵节

Today is 元宵节 or the last day of the Chinese New Year celebration and my parents brought me to 爷爷 and 奶奶's house.

Yesterday was eventful, we went to Nam Kee at Thomson Road for dinner. The pork chops, scrambled egg, prawn roll and seafood beancurd was yummy. After that, we went to United Square. My parents and myself sat at McDonald's till rather late. Papi sipped his coffee and mummy ate her fries. I had my green balloon.

Jay Leno will be back on The Tonite Show this coming week. Papi will be pleased with that.

On MC

Hello everyone, i gave skool a miss today. On MC. Had a bloated stomach, diarrhoea and vommitted yesterday.

Papi and mummy brought me to see Dr Sim last evening. Was checked thoroughly and given medicine for my ailments.

I shall have a good rest by playing games on Facebook.... Will see my abuela at her place tonite. Hope I will be well by then.

Alamak

Oh dear, I cried this morning.. when I was about to step into skool's doorstep. I guess, must be mixed feelings from yesterday's urinating incident. Maybe from embarrassment, fear, anxiety or the lectures from my parents.

舅舅 came over to my house and played with me. We had duck rice for lunch again.

To make myself happy today, I am uploading this favourite tune of mine. It's called "Wait For Me" and was introduced to me by my papi.


Lastly, Xavier 哥哥 turned 12 today and my late grandpa would have been 75 today too.

Not again

Oh dear, I urinated at skool again. 5 minutes before skool ends. My poor mummy got to carry me from bus stop to home as I took out my urine-soaked socks and shoes.

Papi will not be amused. Btw, he is on a 3-day SharePoint course this week. He should be quite happy because technically, he will work only 2 days this week.

The big brown poodle

Went to Toa Payoh Library this morning. As usual, mummy borrowed 12 children books for me. Here's a photo of Toa Payoh Library...Before we went to the library, we had breakfast at Whampoa market. Where else? Over there, I saw this very huge brown dog. Around my height...Mom told me it's a poodle. Papi just cringed...he must be thinking. KNN, so big.

It's Friday

I brought home another piece of artwork from skool yesterday. Almost instantly, papi told mummy that I could not have done this. Mummy also agreed.My papi is on leave today. My parents walked me to skool today. They went to Shuang Ling Temple to pray after that.They came and fetch me at 11am after that. I shared my Milk Pocky with Teresa and Eva at the bus stop. Then, me and my parents headed to Whampoa market for duck rice and rojak lunch. Saw lots of lion dance at the market.

Dinner was at Modesto's in Vivocity. The usual mushroom soup, pizza and pasta. Mummy was very satisfied with the dinner. I was happier as papi bought jelly beans from the Candy Empire. It was a great start to the weekend...

Cost of education so far...

Now that the CNY celebrations have sort of toned down...let's do some SERIOUS sums for my parents. It's on the cost of my education so far...Hehe.

My mom thinks my papi is mad. An Arsenal supporter getting up so early in the morning to watch a Man Utd match. Aiya, papi was hoping to catch AC Milan give a football lesson to Man Utd, mah. Sometimes, my papi is a dreamer. He still thinks they are on the same planet during the Van Basten-Gullit-Rjkaard era. Fat hope...

CNY Day 3 - Rolling dragonfruits

Day 3 started with my parents bringing me to Whampoa market for breakfast. The rest of the day was left playing on-line games at Facebook.

Then all of a sudden. my papi decide that we should visit his godfather, who happens to be in town. Off we went, to visit my papi's godfather's place at The Windsor. It is off Thomson Road and near Venus Drive, where my mom once set off for the TreeTop Walk. She swore that she will not do that Walk ever again.

Godpa gave us some dragonfruits and cashew nuts to bring home. The carrier wasn't that tough and the fruits and goodies came rolling down Ontario Avenue as we were making our way out of that atas place. Walao.

River Hongbao 2010

Hello, today is the 2nd day of the Chinese New Year. My parents brought me to the River Hongbao at the Marina Esplanade during noon. Boy, it sure was hot.

Happy Lunar New Year to everyone, especially to my dearest papi & mummy. We are now in the Year of the Tiger.

Started the New Year with my usual bottle of milk, then went to abuela's house first and then to 爷爷 and 奶奶's house. It was crowded over there. I didn't know I had so many 阿姨. So those people on Facebook were real...

Went home for my afternoon nap and went to my papi's cousin's place at Ang Mo Kio in the evening. We had popiah, kueh pie tee, mee siam, roast chicken, codfish, orr nee and chendol ice cream. Yummy.

Welcome CNY 2010

Today is Chinese New Year's Eve. Wow, I woke up at around 10am today. A bit late by my standard. Well, it's because I slept at around 3am last nite or erh, early this morning. Papi was playing those 80s retro music to me. I enjoyed it very much. Mum slept throughout the night even though we were quite noisy.

We went to McDonalds at United Sqúare for breakfast. As usual, I had my hotcakes, scrambled egg, sausage, hash brown and hot Milo.

My parents decide quite suddenly to go Chinatown. We got there during noon.We went to abuela's house for our Chinese Reunion Dinner in the late afternoon. I went home after dinner and slept early.

Night market

Tonite is the Night before Chinese New Year Eve. Whampoa market is bustling with activity late into the night. My parents, myself and abuela have been coming down to the market at the late hour for the past few years. Tonite is no exception.

Here are some photos...We got home at around 11 pm. My mom was secretly pleased with herself. She bought those CNY wall decor on the cheap. She got 4 items for $1 only. R O A R.

Water sports

When mummy came to fetch me from skool this morning... I was already crying. Well, I got ticked off by my teacher for playing with water. I wet my hand towel and put it inside my uniform. Mom must be angry with me. Papi learnt about it later in the afternoon and lectured me when he got back home from work.

Sigh.. I wonder what my parents must be thinking.

My good friend

Teresa is my good friend. Mummy is my best friend.

This morning, Teresa helped me to put my water bottle and skool bag on the shelf. She always wait for me at the skool doorstep every morning. After skool, we will hold hands and go to the bus stop. We will play, jump, hop and laugh together. It helps that we stay quite near each other's place. My mummy also talks to Teresa's grandma alot.

Till then...no complaints from skool teacher today. Lucky.

Dreamin...

My 姑姑 came to see me at skool this morning. Weekend came and went with many people, telling me to inform teacher whenever I need to go to the loo, instead of urinating on the floor.

Oh, just earlier, teacher harped to mummy about my concentration problems again... about me not knowing that there is a communications book inside my skool bag. Everyone else knows. Mummy told papi that I will be send for "therapy" if my mind goes wandering again come mid-year. I think mummy will consult Aunty HL very soon.

CNY is this weekend. My abuela is busy with spring cleaning, so no home cooked food for this week.

I hate Mondays.

CNY ang pow lanterns

Papi and mummy brought me for mixed rice dinner at Toa Payoh Lorong 8 last nite. Papi is so forgetful... mummy had a bad throat problem and yet he ordered all the dishes with chilli. Thank God, he apologises for the oversight.

We went to Bishan pasar malam after dinner. The place was big and looks empty. Not much stalls over there. Papi couldn't find a stall selling belts. He was hoping to buy those with the big Arsenal crest buckle types. Mummy just shakes her head. Fat Hope.

1/3 ain't bad

Papi is on leave today. I was promised a few places today... first stop, library and then to Takashimaya and Chinatown.

My parents were busy in the first half of the day. They went to change new notes at POSB, to Whampoa market to buy lunch.... My papi also bathe the 2 Buddha statues at abuela's place. I think it was for the Chinese New Year. As papi was pouring water over the statues, I clasped my palms together and prayed.

They were so busy that we end up going to Toa Payoh Library only. By the time we got home, it was around 4pm. It poured heavily and I slept till the early evening.

All Those Years Ago

Nothing much to say today. Posting one of my papi's all-time favourite.

I know what papi is thinking... erh, they don't make such songs nowadays... My papi loves music... from The Rolling Stones to Billy Joel to REM, Diana Ross to the Beatles. So diverse.

Naughty, naughty...

I make my mummy very sian today. I refused to go to skool unless my parents bring me to the library this week. My mummy gave in and they will bring me to the library this Friday, after my skool. Btw, my papi is on leave this Friday. Yippeee...

Once again, the teacher complained to my mummy about me... this time, it is about me going off to the toilet and not coming back to join the class. I think it was either about me playing with water or wandering off to another class.

I love my pink hairband so much that I want to wear to skool everytime. I know my papi and mummy is trying to hide it either at night or early in the morning. Hee hee...
