Dinner at Liang Kee

We went for dinner at Liang Kee restaurant in Bendemeer or rather, Whampoa West this evening. Grandma, 伯伯 and 姑姑 were there too.

My 伯伯 is back!

My 伯伯 came home last evening from Shanghai. Here are my gifts... Zara Kids clothes and Barbie stuff. Yeah!!!

Happy Birthday, 伯伯

Today is my 伯伯's birthday. Heard from daddy that he will come back from Shanghai this June. Want to say a Happy Birthday to 伯伯!

Oh, I didn't go skool today as I got a slight fever. Mummy sms teacher and she sms back asking me to take care. My house was crowded this morning. The Open Net and air-con contractors all came by to install the fibre optics cables and service our house's air con respectively.

CNY 2011 reunion dinner

Today is the eve of the Chinese Lunar New Year. I went to skool for the 1st time since last Wednesday. Well, it was just for 1.5 hours.

My papi and mummy went to McDonald's Shaw Plaza for their breakfast. They came over to fetch me later. Papi went for his haircut in the late morning.

We went over to abuela's place for our reunion dinner. Had a good meal with my parents, abuela and 姑姑. 伯伯 is in Shanghai and is not back for CNY this year.

I am gonna sleep now... Mummy will be busy putting money into empty red packets while papi will be watching those CNY countdown show. I think I heard him telling mummy that he is watching 周星驰's "God of Cookery" later. I think papi hadn't outgrow those tiresome re-runs yet.

My wonderful Barbie birthday + X'mas gifts from 伯伯

I went to abuela's house this evening for dinner. My first trip since the New Year.

The first thing I did was to run to her room. Papi had told me earlier that my Barbie gifts are there.

Wala...It was fantastique! I got a pair of cool looking Barbie pink boots, skool bag, 16 DVD movies and a sweater. All thanks to my 伯伯!!!

It's 2011!

Today is New Year's Day and 2011 is here!

As usual, had our breakfast at Whampoa market and then for groceries shopping at NTUC.

In the afternoon, my parents decided to go over to Shuang Ling Temple to pray for the New Year...Oh, also my 伯伯 is back from Shanghai this afternoon!

Praying to grandpa

My papi was on leave yesterday.

Yesterday was my grandpa's chinese anniversary. My abuela, parents and myself went to pray my late grandpa at Bright Hill Temple.

In the morning, we went to Whampoa market to buy breakfast. A makeshift stall was there and all three of us bought crocs shoes.After that, we set off to Bright Hill Temple. As it was my 1st ever visit to pray grandpa, I introduce myself to grandpa and sang 3 songs to him.After that, we went to Square 2 and had lunch at Sakae Sushi.

Got home and received more good news... papi told me that 伯伯 emailed, telling him that he bought a 4 box-set of Barbie movies for me. Total 16 movies in all.

Off to Shanghai...

My papi just got home not too long ago.

He was back after sending abuela off to Changi Airport T3 at around 9:30pm last nite. Well, she just took off a while ago at around 1:15am on flight SQ826.

Abuela is on a Temple Tour around Shanghai with members from Mahabodhi Monastery. She will be back in Singapore on 25 October 2010.

I wonder will she meet 伯伯 over there? Oh, I got a bad cough, runny nose and lots of phelgm since Friday.

My parents brought me to see Dr Sim yesterday morning and I am on a 1-day MC yesterday. Didn't go to skool. Hope I can get well soon...

上海灘

伯伯 left for Shanghai early this morning. He will be there at least for a couple of years or more. Will miss him...So will abuela and all at home.

My Mid-Autumn Festivities

I attended my 17th ballet lesson this afternoon. 伯伯 came back from Shanghai last night.

My parents decided to bring me for Mid-Autumn Festivities round our estate. The original plan to go Chinatown and Vivocity was shelved.

Our first stop after our fish soup dinner at Whampoa market was to the Community Club.My parents thought they saw enough and we left for another celebration, near my abuela's house and skool. Man, it was much more happening over there. I met several of my classmates there... For a start, the magic show was fascinating!There were fun and games, we carried our lanterns round the estate, and there was children karaoke.

It was so coincidental, Imran, the magician was actually my papi's trainee, years ago. I mean that chap was learning something else from my papi then. Something to clarify, my papi is no magic teacher.

My parents brought me to abuela's house after that for awhile. I went home happy and satisfied but a bit tired.

Some "early" Mid-Autumn Festival light-up at Chinatown

Oh dear, papi worked late this evening. As he headed home... walked past Chinatown and saw the light-up for the Mid-Autumn Festival over there.伯伯 left for Shanghai yesterday morning. My abuela told papi that he will be away for around 2 weeks.

Grandma's rice dumplings

Abuela made rice dumplings today. She stopped doing them for a couple of years. So, this year is the comeback year.Papi went over late in the evening to collect. Abuela also bought me a set of Elmo shirt & shorts.She also gave me a old $1 dollar note.Abuela told papi that my 伯伯 bought me a dress while overseas, not sure if it was from Paris or London. She added that 伯伯 called her yesterday. Btw, 姑姑 left for Genting this morning.

Well, the World Cup is say, 4 days old. Japan just beat Cameroon 1-0. It is probably, the shock result of the tournament so far. Of course, Green's goalkeeping blunder being on par with Flappyhandski is also equally shocking. Banzai...

Before bedtime last night, papi asked me who I loved the most... here is my ranking exercise.

To the market

Continuing with abuela's good news... Papi took half-day afternoon leave today and accompanied her to the market to settle the paperwork around 4pm.

He left her place in the late afternoon and went jogging soon after...now, the bad news...

By the early evening, abuela went giddy, weak, vomitted a bit and had back neck pains. Luckily, she called us and the three of us rushed over to her place to look after her.

Papi sms 伯伯 and 姑姑. They came back not long after. Both of them then send abuela to TTSH for observation. Well, i am going to sleep soon... last heard that abuela is still at the A & E. I will pray for her.

Woohoo...

I have recovered already. Mummy said I will resume skool from today. Yeah.

Actually, skool re-opened 2 days ago. Too bad, started having fever again on Sunday. So, didn't go to 爷爷 and 奶奶's house. Anyway, my parents bought me a Hello Kitty umbrella from Whampoa market on Sunday. My 奶奶 came over to see me yesterday afternoon.

伯伯 is back from Sydney on Sunday nite and papi told me that he bought me a kangaroo soft toy. Mummy also said that 大舅 came back from China during the weekend. It seems everybody is back home. Papi also told mummy that 伯伯 should be stationed in Shanghai for the next 3 years. He might be leaving soon.

Thanks to my parents. Especially, my mummy who took good care of me during this past few weeks when I was down with high fever. I'm looking forward to this Saturday... papi promised me that we will go to the library and then to United Square.

Outing at The Singapore Flyer

I was promised a great outing and today, my parents, 爷爷 and 舅舅 brought me to Red Star restaurant for dim sum lunch and then to The Flyer. Aiyah, it was actually to celebrate 爷爷's coming birthday.

The dim sum meal was overall, good. I had egg tart, century egg porridge and char siew bao.
Next stop... The Singapore FlyerMy papi bumped onto his colleague when we are resting at Popeyes Chicken & Biscuit. Next stop, bumped onto his boss when he was buying dinner at Wee Nam Kee in Thomson. What a day!
My 伯伯 is leaving for Sydney later tonite and will be back in 2 weeks' time.
