My Orchard Road outing

Papi was really busy during the past few weeks at work. Somehow, he decided to take leave today and clear his May Day (五月天) off next Monday. Total of 4 days of rest for him.

He started the day by walking me to skool. Along the way, I told him that Kevin pulled my hair, another guy pushed me and a PRC girl grabbed my hands. Walao, my papi thought... Growing up must be tough.

After dropping me off at skool, he went jogging round the estate and then to Toa Payoh Stadium. Here are some delightful photos of our estate...It was a nice surprise to see my papi and mummy waiting to fetch me from skool. We went to abuela's house and I had my porridge there. Next, we set off to Orchard Road. Had lunch at Sakae Sushi in Wheelock Place.Went to Borders after lunch.I did some counting of my own...My abuela aka grandma was busy reading feng shui books. She asked papi to take a shot of this chinese poem...I also saw The Beatles. Oh yes, it is Paul, George, Ringo and John.Went to McCafe for coffee...Saw this bird perched at the lamp post.

Want to share this song called 挪威的森林 with everyone. I guess... the first time my papi heard it was in his good old friend, Patrick Lim's car. That was probably his first brush with the music and magic of 伍佰.I mean, this man really rawks, lah! Let's hear it for Mr 伍佰...

我問天

My mummy wants me to sing a bit of this song. Apparently, my chorus of "我問天, 我問天" is not enough.

Diaper no more...

Last nite, I told mummy that I don't want to wear diaper anymore for the whole night. Mummy gave it a try while my papi thinks I have grown up. In his own words, a big girl.

We just got home earlier. We were at mummy's office earlier. Aunty Boss gave us a lift there. She saw us as she drove past the bus stop near abuela's house. Over at her office. she gave me.... 2 Dora file holders.I am happy.

The boy at the window

Mummy brought me to abuela's house for dinner earlier this evening. When we were reaching her block, mummy heard someone calling my name. We looked around and saw Tong Tong, my classmate at his balcony and calling out for me...He is a nice fella and papi always ask me about the type of bag he carries to skool. Funny.

To Katong & East Coast, without me

My papi and mummy went to Katong and then to Bayshore to attend Aunty HL's baby son's one-month celebration. I was left at abuela's house for the afternoon. Walao, my parents went for Katong laksa and then kaya bread & coffee at Chin Mee Chin WITHOUT me. The following photos are the evidence...

Milubing

Mummy is busy with housework this morning. She and papi are going to Aunty HL's baby son's 1-month celebration in the afternoon.

Papi brought me to Whampoa market for breakfast. I ate a steamed corn bun and drank iced Milo. It was nice and refreshing...

My 1st ballet lesson

My parents have been talking about getting started on some classes... possibly, swimming, piano, ballet... yes, ballet. Mummy checked with Aunty HL while papi went to Toa Payoh South CC and enquired about the ballet classes over there. Today is the day. My mom spoke to Ruby of Kavanagh Dance and the next thing... I was whisked to Toa Payoh South CC for my trial or first lesson.

This is the door to my 1st ballet lesson...It was fun, interesting and I found new friends to learn, grow and play together.

Well, I also saw the Strawberry Shortcake bus today.

Saturday in the Park

My papi loves this song. Smoothing, easy listening and anything by Chicago, sure sounds good.

Papi went to Mount Alvernia Hospital last nite to visit Uncle Pal & wife. They just had their second child, a baby girl. Best of all, born on 22 April. Same as my mummy and Earth Day, is it?

We went to Whampoa market for our usual weekend breakfast.It have been months since my parents had Robert's mee siam and lontong. Luckily, the queue today is not that long. Papi quickly queued up and bought it for lunch.We then headed to NTUC...

Mummy's birthday

Today is my mummy's birthday. Papi took half-day afternoon leave and went to Swensen's at United Square to collect the ice cream birthday cake.We were supposed to go Modesto's at Vivocity and celebrate mom's birthday dinner. Too bad, it rained heavily in the early evening. Plans were changed and we ordered 2 pizzas for dinner.Here's a pic of the ice cream cake...I sang the Happy Birthday song to mummy and also helped to blow out the candle.
