During the afternoon, papi and abuela went to Bright Hill Temple for Qing Ming. Here are some photos from that place...Before I forget, Aunty HL, my mummy's friend, gave birth to a baby boy this morning. What an eventful day.

Here are some photos from the Toa Payoh Library on a Saturday morning...That was all. As for tomorrow, i am going to my 爷爷 and 奶奶's house. Yeah.

Get well, mummy

Mummy came down with cough, fever and cold feet since yesterday. Not long after getting back from work and fetching me from skool.

She went to see Dr Sim in the late morning and the bill was a whopping $70.

Papi walked me to skool this morning and abuela went to fetch me at around 11am. Mummy was left at home alone to recuperate. Papi came to fetch me after work. I spent the day at abuela's house by watching my Diego and Dora DVDs.

Hope mummy gets well soon... if not, my outings for the weekend appear to be jeopardised.

O S T R A C I Z A T I O N

Waliao, after 2 weeks and more. My so-called friends still shunned me. That main culprit is having a birthday party next Saturday. I am sort of invited...

Well, papi said a big NO to mummy. Well, it is mainly due to the spike in HFMD cases and also to avoid crowded places.

Ha ha. I know what papi is thinking. He is such a survivor of adversities and he thrives on such situations, as in people ganging up against him or cases of ostracization. I got to look up to him. Hee hee...

Before bedtime, mummy spoke to papi at length about seeking a change in skool for me. Mummy also went back to work for the first time in weeks today.

Woohoo...

I have recovered already. Mummy said I will resume skool from today. Yeah.

Actually, skool re-opened 2 days ago. Too bad, started having fever again on Sunday. So, didn't go to 爷爷 and 奶奶's house. Anyway, my parents bought me a Hello Kitty umbrella from Whampoa market on Sunday. My 奶奶 came over to see me yesterday afternoon.

伯伯 is back from Sydney on Sunday nite and papi told me that he bought me a kangaroo soft toy. Mummy also said that 大舅 came back from China during the weekend. It seems everybody is back home. Papi also told mummy that 伯伯 should be stationed in Shanghai for the next 3 years. He might be leaving soon.

Thanks to my parents. Especially, my mummy who took good care of me during this past few weeks when I was down with high fever. I'm looking forward to this Saturday... papi promised me that we will go to the library and then to United Square.

姑姑 at market

Haiz, not feeling that well again. My parents brought me to see Dr Sim again. Been there many times for this past month or so.

Went for duck rice and rojak lunch at Whampoa market. Saw 姑姑 eating duck rice too. She was with 2 other friends.

Everybody is eating duck rice while I drink duck soup. Ha ha.

Papi's on leave

Papi is on 1 day leave and is helping to look after me.

Abuela came over in the morning and after which, papi accompanied mummy to this old fashioned clinic at Whampoa. Really old type, no computer and the doctor took notes in a jotter book.

They came back and to my surprise, my parents bought me a pink Panda slippers. During the evening, I went to abuela's house for dinner again. I ate mee swa there.

Mummy's recovering... maybe

Walao, mummy told papi that she was shivering at around 4am this morning. She has since caught a runny nose and cough.

Papi took the afternoon off and came home. Papi brought me to NTUC, Whampoa market and then to abuela's house for dinner

Alamak, mummy's fever got worse in the evening and papi took urgent leave for tomorrow. Things should be better tomorrow, as mummy finally wants to go see a doctor.

Tuesday, March 16, 2010

Oh no...

Omigod, after looking after me for quite awhile. Now, it is mummy's turn to fall sick. She is down with fever and cold feet since yesterday afternoon.

Week 2 & 3: No news

Oh, mummy spent the week looking after me. Didn't go to work for this past week. So is next week. It is skool holidays, mah.

Therefore, no income for weeks 2 and 3.

Grandpa's birthday

My 爷爷 turned 69 today. However, I didn't go to 爷爷 and 奶奶's house today. Still recovering, mah...

Anyway, they came over to see me in the late afternoon. Played with them, they pushed me around while I sat on my pink bicycle.

Nothing much today. The only highlight was Manny Pacquaio, the Filipina superstar boxer retaining his WBO welterweight title against a Joshua Clottey with an easy 12-round win. Nothing surprising with that win, as expected. What took papi by surprise was that Filipino singer who sang the Filipino National Anthem. He is the current frontman for legendary rock band, Journey. Walao.

I'm recovering

I guess I felt better today. Been down with a persistent cough and high fever since last Sunday nite. Around 5 days... It was terrible. Kept coughing and feeling feverish for those past few days.

My abuela came over to see me in the late morning and left around noon for the temple. We watched the Jack Neo conference in YouTube. It was dramatic, got confession, sad faces, promises, forgiveness, cameras, fainting and more. Papi said 阿南's part at the end was the best. Superb show of authority.

舅舅 came and visited me early this afternoon and I ignored him. My papi chided me and said I was rather rude. I guess I wasn't feeling that good... just recovered, mah.

Hope to feel even and much better tomorrow.

My 2 grandmas

My papi went back to work today. Surprising, my 2 grandmas came to see me. As usual, as I am not feeling that well, I sort of ignored them.

My abuela came by first and left early in the evening. She prayed for me before she left for home. My 奶奶 stayed on till my papi came home around 8pm.

Papi told me that I should be thankful for my 2 grandmas for coming around and reminded me that they loved me alot.

Here's a montage of me and my papi's favourite George Harrison's tunes.

Thanks for the memories and you will always be in our hearts...

To the Children's Emergency, KK Hospital

Almost finished up my medicine and my parents brought me to see Dr Sim again. I was given 3-day MC while my papi got a day's MC for his bad cough.

I was having a real bad fever throughout the day. Around 4pm, my fever hit 39.9 degrees. My parents decided to bring me to KK Hospital.

Called a cab and the taxi uncle really doubled up his speed when told that I was having a high fever & may possibly have a seizure soon.

The staff at Children's Emergency, KK Hospital were excellent. There was super quick reaction from the staff when my papi told that I was having a high fever and possibly, a fit seizure.

Was discharged at around 7pm and my abuela came by at night to see me.

Thank God, my temperature finally went down to normal levels around 11pm and I slept well. Guess my parents were totally drained looking after me.

Down with fever

I am down with high fever and a bad cough. Mummy brought me to see Dr Sim and I was given a 2-day MC.

Really hate taking medicine. I am quite a big and strong girl now. Poor me, my papi would have to catch me while mummy force feed me with medicine.

Papi worked till quite late and he went to Mustafa at Little India and bought a pink Terumo thermometer for me. The Braun one is spoilt. WTF, my parents thought. Supposed to be a top of the line product and yet, got spoilt within a year or so.

Lunch at Whampoa market

My 爷爷 and 奶奶 went for a one day tour to Malaysia today. So, my parents brought me to Whampoa market for duck rice and rojak lunch. It was delicious.

Week 1: Back to the workforce

My mummy started working part-time with her ex-company again. My papi wants a summary of her working hours and it will be done in my blog every weekend.

Tues, 2 Mar 10
1 hour

Thur, 4 Mar 10
1.5 hours

Fri, 5 Mar 10
1.5 hours

Total is 4 hours at $8 per hour. That works out to $32 for this first week.

Get Well Soon Aaron

Poor Ramsey's leg got broke to two the other week. I know papi is furious with that c**t who did that job. He was glad that Fab4 rallied the troops and the Gunners beat Stoke 1-3. He was damn relieved that Gallas wasn't around. That weeping sit-on at Birmingham was bizarre.

Here are some photos of the solidarity behind Rambo. Amazing stuff...Get well soon and all the gooners out there know that you will be back stronger and better than before.Everything went according to script in the 3-1 win over Burnley...except that lame Dane. Papi said, GIVE UP.

Outing at The Singapore Flyer

I was promised a great outing and today, my parents, 爷爷 and 舅舅 brought me to Red Star restaurant for dim sum lunch and then to The Flyer. Aiyah, it was actually to celebrate 爷爷's coming birthday.

The dim sum meal was overall, good. I had egg tart, century egg porridge and char siew bao.
Next stop... The Singapore FlyerMy papi bumped onto his colleague when we are resting at Popeyes Chicken & Biscuit. Next stop, bumped onto his boss when he was buying dinner at Wee Nam Kee in Thomson. What a day!
My 伯伯 is leaving for Sydney later tonite and will be back in 2 weeks' time.

The Wonder of You

My abuela came by to my skool at around 11am today. Oh dear, she also saw how my so-called classmates shunned me. Abuela was a bit disturbed by the incident and wondered to papi if my classmates also shunned me during class.

Well, well... nonetheless, my coming weekend will be fun-filled. My parents will be bringing me to Red Star for dim sum breakfast and then to the Singapore Flyer tomorrow.

Like to end the week with this video from The King. It is called "Wonder of You" and is the song which the Emirates plays during Arsenal's home matches. I know papi loves the song.
I guess papi can't quite believe that Arsenal, despite their setbacks this season, are still in the running for the title. Well, he is actually quite resigned to the fact that the Gunners ain't gonna win anything for a long time to come. Sigh, when will we see the likes of players such as Bergkamp, Henry, Vieira, Wright, Adams and those other Invincibles again.

Frankly, Arsenal is a selling club… It has been a few seasons without silverware already. Nonetheless, a constant top 3 or 4 finish in the Premiership, continued qualification for the Champions League, of course, progressing as far as they could and developing players for sale and to balance the debt ratio is more prudent.

Arsenal can’t really compete with Chelsea or Manchester City in the financial sense, so the self-sustaining model is the way to go.

There we have it… the Arsenal of the present would be one youthful team, bursting with talent, playing cosmic football, based on rigid wage structure and should be constantly on a top 3 Premiership finish and at least, into the last 8 on the Champions League. Of course, thumping Spurs is a must.

Tax returns

This fat boy scout is called Russell and he is cute...

Mummy done up her income tax returns and filed them on-line today. She also did papi and abuela's returns.

Mummy related to papi about how my skool frens shunned me after skool and went their own way together, leaving me behind. Mummy was sad to see such an incident happening to me, her precious daughter. Papi was equally upset. However, my parents feel this is strictly part of growing up and the main thing is that I must learn to be independent and strong when I grow up. Papi just lamented that I am so unlike him.

First day at work & cost of education again...

Mummy went back to her old office to work today... for an hour. She is a superwoman. She sends me to skool, goes back home, cook my porridge lunch and then, goes off to work for an hour... after which, she goes to fetch me back from skool. It helps that her old office is located just a stone's throw away from our house. No kidding, man. It is really a stone's throw away.

Now back to the cost of education so far... I got new additions for this month.

1 Mar 10
$11 for Vitagen supply during Term 2 and $88 skool fee (Mar 10)

Total so far... $383.40 + $99 = $482.40.

Seriously Speaking...

Not again, I puked just after my lunch.

On a serious note, my parents have decided to ban me from using the computer till further notice. They are worried about the adverse effects it may have on my eyes at such a tender age. Papi suggested that I need to resume my reading, drawing, colouring and writing habits again.

He also suggested to mummy to teach me simple arithmetic. Papi also went on... he may enrol me in ballet classes. He told mummy that should make me more graceful and lady-like. Mummy also suggested enrichment classes during holidays. Walao.

Since I got no computer to play, I will watch Up. I like that fat boy called Russell. What a serious day, I also learnt that mummy went back to her old company for an "interview".
