Another 2-day MC for me

Papi is on leave today. He went to Bright Hill Temple with abuela to pray grandpa. As usual, it was a wet day. It rained throughout the weekend.

Next, he went off to Toa Payoh Hub to settle his bills at the Post Office, go to bank, top up his ez-link card and bought dried longans for abuela. He is tricky as mummy and myself thought he went to Whampoa to run his errands.

My parents brought me to see Dr Sim in the evening. We went there after dinner at Whampoa market. In fact, we had fish soup for dinner for the past 3 evenings. Dr Sim said my cough was kinda okay, no cause for alarm and I was given 2-day MC.

I want to recover in time for CNY!!!

Wasted On The Way

We never go to 爷爷 and 奶奶's house today. Of course, got to let 奶奶 prepare or get ready for CNY. CNY is a Big Event for them, or to her. I mean, she got to cook up a storm for that few days. She needs to buy lotta things.

I spent the day listening to papi's favourite 70s and 80s songs. You know, from "Body and Soul" by Mai Tai to "Election Day" by Arcadia to "It's Raining Again" by Supertramp. Of course, got "She Blinded Me with Science" by Thomas Dolby.

At one point, he played "Wasted On The Way" by CSN. I remarked that this particular song is kinda like stuff played by George Harrison. Papi was impressed and he told mummy about my observation. Of course, impressed lah. Children of my age are still listening to "Ba Ba Black Sheep".

My motor cough

Still coughing rather badly and with a runny nose. My parents never bring me for my ballet class today. It is like only the second time I skip ballet class.

My abuela and 姑姑 came over in the evening to see me. Walao, it rained rather heavily when they left for home.

I'm on 2 day MC

My papi and mummy brought me to see Dr Sim this morning. I coughed and was running a fever the day before. Got the usual medicine and was given 2-day MC. Will be away from skool today and tomorrow. Hope to be back in skool next Monday, fit as a fiddle.

Feeling a bit down, that's all

I got a slight fever this evening. It all started with a cough last night. Mummy told me that she will bring me to see Dr Sim, first thing tomorrow morning. Papi will come along too.

Really hate to fall sick, just when CNY is nearing...

My papi's Nokia 5800 went bonkers today, kept blinking and was just out of order.
Okay, that's it. I think he will go buy an iphone next week.

We got the shoe rack and kropok!

For today, I went for my 3rd ballet lesson for the year and an overall, 28th lesson so far.

Yup, I got my ballet exam certificate today!After ballet, my parents brought me to the Toyogo wholesale store and we bought our 5-tier shoe rack.We rested at home for awhile and then headed to eat Zhong Zhong wu xiang at MacPherson. My papi and mummy called the Zhong Zhong coffeeshop, "The Chum Bucket" and also called the crispy fried prawn fritters, the "Krabby Patties". So funny.After our hearty dinner, we went to Putri Ayu and collected our CNY cookies and kropok.

My trip to Chinatown

My dear papi is on leave today. His 1st leave of the year.

Both of my parents send me to skool together, after which they went to Whampoa for curry rice breakfast.Next, they set off to DBS Bank at Square II and change new notes for CNY.They got back to Whampoa market again. This time, to do marketing and also bought duck rice for lunch.They came over to fetch me and we had lunch at home and then later, to Chinatown.

First thing first, papi saw this nice flower outside my skool...
Next, he and mummy were discussing about sending me for Mandarin classes real soon...Now, for those Chinatown in CNY festivities photos...After Chinatown, we went to City Square for dinner at Astons. Went home after that. Sooooo tired, that I slept on the way home.Papi told mummy that it was a day well spent!

Mummy brought me for my 2nd ballet lesson for the year or 27th lesson and counting...

Papi got to work this morning and he went to Toa Payoh South CC straight after work.

After my ballet lesson ended, we headed for McDonald's at HDB Hub. Before that, take a look at this giant CNY lantern...After our Macs meal, we went to AMK Hub to search for the coveted shoe rack. Mummy wasn't impressed with that particular rack at NTUC Xtra. She decided that we will go to Toyogo at Toa Payoh next Saturday to hunt for one.

Cost of Education - January 2011 (Part 3/3)

Today, mummy paid $13 for my Term 1's supply of Vitagen. That works out to $1,609.40 for my cost of education so far...

I think skool just opened and I am also undergoing some minor adjustments... ahem, arising from the long December holidays. Papi and mummy can detect that I am kinda like a bit sad and down for the past few days.

Oh, 姑姑 is on MC for today.

Cost of Education - January 2011 (Part 2/3)

Today, my parents a further $55 for skool textbooks and another $5 for insurance.

That makes up to $1,536.40 + $55 + $5 = $1,596.40

An off-day

Today, we didn't go to 爷爷 and 奶奶's house. Heard from mummy that they went to Malaysia.

Papi woke up late and then, went to Whampoa and bought duck rice and rojak lunch for us. We stayed at home and watch Barbie DVDs. Papi managed to saw a bit of "Shine A Light", after I allowed him to.

We went to Novena Square, Square 2 and United Square in the late afternoon. We also went to Old Town White Coffee for some cocoa, coffee and kaya toast...

The 1st block party for the year

We had fish head steamboat dinner at Whampoa market earlier this evening.

Headed to abuela's house before going down to the 1st RC-organised block party for 2011. It all starts at 7:30pm.Tonite's theme was "Show Time" and we were treated to a movie screening of "Despicable Me". I was so tired after my ballet lesson and I slept half-way thru' the screening.

Papi and mummy took turns to carry me home, whilst I was asleep...Zzzzzz...

Papi managed to catch the 2nd half of Arsenal's draw against Leeds "live" at the Emirates on Ch 115. After what Bendtner did on the 92nd minute... Papi was convinced that he can shoot better than that Dane.

My first ballet lesson for the New Year

My parents brought me to my 1st ballet lesson (or 26th counting...) for the New Year. I am now in the Tiny Tots Gold class...Oh, papi also paid $100 for my Term 1 fees.

The new term (Term 1) starts today.

The dates are as follows:-
8, 15, 22, 29 Jan
12, 19, 26 Feb
5, 12, 19 Mar

The only break is on 5 Feb.
