The last day of 2010

Today is the 31st of December 2010. The last day of the year. After some 370 posts and counting... I am proud to say my blog has lasted a year.

What are my personal milestones for 2010?

Able to hop with one leg from one end of a room to another,

Can do coloring of pictures within its given outline,

Can count from 1 to 100 and more...,

Can sing "我問天" quite "well",

Grow to like going to skool,

Pretends to "support" Arsenal during most Saturday evenings in exchange for kropok,

Like Christmas a lot,

Believe that "Barbie Fashion Fairytale"is the movie of the year,

I could eat an entire meal all by myself at Din Tai Fung (鼎泰丰) on 17 Nov 10,

Able to use the computer pretty well,

Loves singing Barbie songs,

Thinks my daddy is Ken of Barbie fame,

Loves playing and fixing puzzles,

Believes that the soap bath at Tanglin Mall during Christmas is actual snow,

Really like ballet and swimming,

I called my daddy "Patrick", my mummy "Spongebob" and "Sandy" as myself,

Amazed with Orchard Road floods,

Discovered bak kwa,

Grow to like 80s retro music thru' daddy,

Dislikes coffee,

Slightly affected by Bieber-mania,

Enjoys my trips to McDonald's,

Likes to attend RC-organised block parties with my parents,

Thinks Micheal Jackson and Ip Man are alive and kicking,

Able to memorize my daddy's office telephone number,

Grown from liking Dora, to Princess Aurora to my current fav, Barbie,

Loves saving money,

Got to know my daddy likes "Gatchaman" when he was a boy,

Still ranks mummy above daddy, and

My height is above 0.9m and I need to pay public transportation fares. WTF.

To papi's office...

Mummy brought me to Shenton Way this morning to look for Aunty HL. Well, just got something to pass to her.

Along the way, mummy bought an iron board cover. I think she badly burnt the old one. We then set off to look for papi. He will knock off from work at 1pm and we can go do lunch together.

Met up with papi and we had lunch at Amoy Food Centre. Papi bought lor mee for mummy, and she commented that the stall from Whampoa market was better. Papi ordered fish ball noodle and carrot cake.

After lunch, we went to Chinatown to walk-walk. My parents made an impromptu decision to go to Vivocity...Over at Toys R Us, they bought me a Winx Club T-shirt!I am happy, tired and slept on the MRT, while heading for home!

About us...

1. My daddy is a Teochew and mummy, a hokkien. I am classified a Hokkien.

2. Daddy is terrified of dogs and next, hates cats.

3. Daddy can't swim and ride a bicycle. Mummy can't swim, however, can ride a bicycle.

4. We all like Whampoa rojak, prawn mee, satay, fish steamboat and duck rice.

5. Daddy must sleep with air-con on while mummy needn't.

6. We will always go out together when daddy is on leave.

7. Mummy is taller than daddy.

8. Daddy must start the day with coffee, while mummy drinks coffee to stay awake.

9. I am their mini partner-in-crime.

10. Mummy's office is very near and daddy's office is far, far away...

11. Weekdays are to abuela's house and Sundays are to 爷爷 and 奶奶's house.

12. We are all OMITUOFUO.

13. We like to drink plain water.

14. Weekends will revolve around my ballet and swimming.

15. Daddy is a fanatic Arsenal fan. Mummy and myself pretend to be fanatical about Arsenal.

To the Isetan Private Sale...

Yes, as the title suggests. Well, it was my parents who went to the Isetan Private Sale at Orchard Road instead of bringing me along.They left me at abuela's house today.

My parents bought shoes for themselves and a Barbie Fashion Fairytale night gown for me.

My belated birthday lunch

Today, my parents brought me to Popular at Toa Payoh and bought some assessment books for me again.

After that, we took the MRT to Vivocity...We had my belated birthday lunch at Modesto's.Tough arse luck, papi met TKK there. It was a truly WTF feeling for him.

Then, much better... he met Uncle Dennis Ang, an old friend of his back in his secondary school days.

I celebrated my birthday at abuela's house this morning. My abuela, parents and 姑姑 sang the birthday song for me.

I collected my cake...

Today is Christmas Day, also the day to collect my birthday cake.

We headed to Whampoa market for fish soup dinner. Next, to Square 2, Novena Square and then, United Square.

Well, let's take a last look at the United Square Christmas Tree before it gets taken down...Over at United Square, mummy bought me a pink dress from Cotton on Kids...Before collecting my cake, we went to Toast Box for half-boiled eggs, pork floss toast, coffee and iced Milo.

Finally, we went to Bengawan Solo at Cold Storage and collected my birthday cake!

We went home, with me feeling ever so happy.

My parents told me to sleep early and wake up early tomorrow. We will be going to abuela's house for the birthday song-singing and cake cutting thingy.

The Glittering Cup

Today is Christmas Eve, papi is on half-day. He was back in the early afternoon with lotsa gifts.

Aunty P, his colleague gave me this Princess cup.Woohoo... Merry Christmas to everyone!

Papi read this somewhere the other day, thought that it is meaningful...the 4 stages of our lives.

Stage 1 - We believe in Santa Claus

My new table and chair

Once again, papi is on leave. He is just about on leave any other good day during December.

Our task today is to buy a table and chair. For me, of course.

We had our lunch at IKEA. As usual, papi bought his usual 6 killer chicken wings...After lunch, we went over to AnchorPoint for the photo taking session with Strawberry Shortcake.

We went back to IKEA after that...We were doing furniture browsing and saw this ideal chair for abuela...and also my dream bedroom...We finally, settled and bought my table and pink chair.

Wait a minute. As I sat on the IKEA trolley, I did a drawing of my family on a order sheet...Upon reaching home, my parents fixed it up for me. Viola...

Eating 汤圆

We went over to abuela's house for dinner this evening.

After our dinner, abuela brought 2 bowls of 汤圆 for us.

I ate the pink ones, because I like Barbie.

I ordered my cake today

Papi is on leave, again.

We went to Whampoa market for our rojak and duck rice lunch.

Next stop, United Square!

Main aim is to order my birthday cake from Bengawan Solo. Papi paid $40.60 for the Winx Club birthday cake (1 kg).

We saw the Spongebob SquarePants show again...Then, my parents brought me to Toys R Us and bought play-doh for me.

Papi will be back to work tomorrow. He is a bit sian as he was on leave for quite awhile.

The Sesame Street Show

It's the usual Sunday thing, my parents brought me to 爷爷 and 奶奶's house.

My 大舅 was back and came over with my 4 cousins. I also went for swimming, the 3rd time.

Then, it was off to Bukit Panjang Plaza for the Sesame Street show...

The weekend before Christmas

We had a delicious fish head steamboat dinner at Whampoa this evening.

Next stop, to Orchard Road...After that, we headed to Tanglin Mall for the "snow" session again...This time round, papi played with me while mummy took photos.

We had an enjoyable time and headed off to McDonald's Forum Galleria for some fries and hot Milo.

I went home very satisfied!

The Strawberry Shortcake Show @Centrepoint

My parents told me that we are gonna watch the Strawberry Shortcake show at CentrePoint today.

Firstly, we had lunch at Din Tai Fung, over at Paragon.We saw nice Christmas decor as we walked down Orchard Road...Next, we went to CentrePoint for the Strawberry Shortcake show...... and the finale got lotta of bubbles!

Praying to grandpa

My papi was on leave yesterday.

Yesterday was my grandpa's chinese anniversary. My abuela, parents and myself went to pray my late grandpa at Bright Hill Temple.

In the morning, we went to Whampoa market to buy breakfast. A makeshift stall was there and all three of us bought crocs shoes.After that, we set off to Bright Hill Temple. As it was my 1st ever visit to pray grandpa, I introduce myself to grandpa and sang 3 songs to him.After that, we went to Square 2 and had lunch at Sakae Sushi.

Got home and received more good news... papi told me that 伯伯 emailed, telling him that he bought a 4 box-set of Barbie movies for me. Total 16 movies in all.
