Papi read today's Straits Times and learnt about the sudden closure of Comics Mart at Serene Centre. Guess it must have brought back lotta happy teen memories for him. Uhmmm...to many out there, it must be like an end to an era.
Papi was an avid comic book collector those days. Heard him mentioning about going to Comics Mart like Friday or Saturday afternoons to buy the latest releases ranging from the likes of Wolverine, Batman, Groo, Judge Dredd, Lobo, Sandman, etc. Of course, great artists like Frank Miller and Neil Gaiman comes to mind.
He must be a bit sad and puzzled at this sudden passing. This place was where Magic the Gathering actually started gathering...
